Our ethos is simple yet effective. We aim for every child to reach his / her maximum potential both academically and extra-murally. We teach children across a wide range of abilities - from children with dyslexia-related difficulties to academic scholars, budding actors, artists and musicians to those representing the County in a variety of sports. Whatever your child's ability, we will nurture it to enable him or her to attain the very highest standard possible in a happy 'buzzy' atmosphere.

Long gone are the days when boarding houses consisted of regimented dormitories filled with lines of beds and cold wooden floors! At Barnardiston Hall, we have excellent boarding accommodation and were commended during a recent OFSTED report for the warm and homely atmosphere of the boarding house.

All the boarders live in the Main House with Colonel Boulter and his wife as part of their 'extended family'. Supportive residential staff and matrons make up the team of carers and a close 'parental' interest is taken in homework and hobbies.

The Junior Boarding Wing is almost unique amongst boarding schools, accepting children from 6 years of age. Day children too can board for the occasional night and this is very popular with children as well as with parents who may want to go out in the evening or away for a few days without disrupting their child's normal routine.

Barnardiston Hall enjoys its link with the Services and many children of serving personnel board, either weekly or full time. We also have several children whose parents reside overseas and for all of these children we arrange airport transfers and exeat cover at the School.
