Waitaki Girls High School

Waitaki Girls' High School is a state secondary school for girls founded in 1887 and located in Oamaru in the South Island of New Zealand. Currently in February 2007 we have a roll of about 470 girls including 9 international students and 51 borders.

We offer a wide range of subjects, both academic and vocational, and our students achieve excellent results in national examinations.

Students can enjoy a wide range of sports and cultural activities including interhouse sports, choir and drama competitions.

The school is located in beautiful grounds surrounded by well established trees and gardens.

Accommodation is available for boarders in Waitaki House which adjoins the school. Hostel staff are highly experienced and provide excellent care for our boarders.

The boarding house for Waitaki Girls' High School is a busy, vibrant and stimulating environment providing boarding from year 9 to year 13 girls
