Letter A

Acceptance Rate - It gives an idea how selective is a boarding school and how the general student body will be.

ACT - American College Testing program is a common college standardized tests of academic readiness for college level studies.

ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder, student's behavioral and learning disorders.

ADHD - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, student's behavioral and learning disorders.

Admission - Process of being allowed at a boarding school

AP and advanced courses - These give a good indication of how well a particular school might prepare child for college.

APR - Annual Percentage Rate is the effective interest rate when all finance charges and up-front fees are included.

Average SAT Score - It is useful for determining how well the school prepares students for standardized testing (and by extension, preparing for college).
